My Well Manager Story:
I had been experiencing some air in the water and my whole-house water filter
was becoming excessively dirty quickly. Other subtle symptoms were low
pressure and inconsistent
increases in my electric bill. Until the day I ended up with no water, I
did not know how all of these were indicating a serious well problem. In
fact so serious that I found out that my water level was below the pump by the
time I had it measured. I had no other choice except to drill a new
well. Had I been able to get a 1/4 gallon per minute or so, a Well
ManagerŪ
would have been my first choice. It would cost less than a new well
and would easily provide my house with enough water to operate normally (and
it's guaranteed!, unlike a new well).
They say the average house uses something like 75 to 125 gallons per person per
day. In my case there is only 2 of us and I know we use about 200 gallons per day on
average, dish washer, washing machine, animals and all. If you were to think of a well
that yields only 1 gallon per minute, a quick calculation will show you that is 1440
gallon per day ! That is over 7 times my normal usage......and at a yield
of only 1 gallon per minute!!
Having to drill a new well, I also wanted to take the very best care of my
new investment. Once the well was completed, at over twice
the depth of my old well, I found that if I installed the Well
ManagerŪ, I could
actually use a smaller well pump. This is due to not needing to harvest great
quantities of water quickly from my well. The smaller size pump also
allowed me to stay with 10 awg wire all the way to the pump. This provided
a savings, both in wire costs and pump electrical usage.
I ordered a Well
ManagerŪ
Modular System and installed it
myself. Here is some pictures of the process:
This picture shows my temporary hook up from a storage tank to my pressure
tank. I had to haul water to fill the tank because my well was out of
water. This system allowed the house to work normally, but I had to keep the
tank full.
Once I removed the old pressure tank and disconnected the necessary plumbing I
mounted the Well
ManagerŪ panel on the wall and the optional Consistent Pressure Module below
it.
Here is the finished installation. The
system is currently set to harvest water from my well at rate of 1/2 gallon per
minute. My well has a yield of about 3 1/2 gallons per minute. The system
harvests the water in small amounts on a regular schedule, 24 hours a day, to
keep the storage tank full. This sipping of the water keeps the tank
full, the water crystal clear and never stresses the well. The regular pump cycle keeps the pump
operating within the optimum pump curve specifications for a long life.
If you or your neighbors are experiencing problems or you are just not sure what condition your
well is operating in, our well evaluation service could provide that important information. Maybe a Well
ManagerŪ could
prevent you from drilling a new well because of a low yield. I like the
functionality of the product, but my wife likes the 65 pounds of water from
the Consistent Pressure Module. Imagine knowing you have the availability of the
water you need and pressure too! Ask me how a Well
ManagerŪ could change your life!
Having experienced the Well
ManagerŪ firsthand, I was so impressed with the performance that I
decided I had to become a dealer and bring this great product to the Southwest.
